Good Grabs II

Continuing on the theme of What the Big Boys are Taking, here are some of the latest grabs by BuyDomains. Again, BuyDomains is not a taster, so they’re keeping these and listing them with just a little markup ;) Read the rest of this entry »

San Berdo Doesn't Sell

I live within earshot (especially around July 4th) of San Bernardino, CA. The city’s domain namesake went up for auction on eBay and ended yesterday not meeting the reserve which was somewhere above the high mark of $10,600… Read the rest of this entry »

Travel Dropping Out Of The Sky

Plenty of travel-related domains dropping today: Good<state-name>.com and TravelAgency<city-name>.com names… Someone has already taken GoodTexas.com and GoodFlorida.com. GoodPennsylvania.com is still available… MY home state!

Will YOU Be Picked?

When cities get chosen, er… picked for things like the Olympics, All-American City Award, Greenest city, City of Culture, etc… (you get the idea), there is usually a movement or campaign to advocate the city before the award is given. Cities themselves use slogans like these to promote tourism. A few of these names are dropping today on some GREAT American cities. Read the rest of this entry »

Backorder "Opportunities" from NameJet

If you’ve given NameJet your email, no doubt you’ve received an email from them listing some pretty horrible domain names that will drop soon.

Just look at these lemons opportunities: bodyyz.com, tunneyandhalbfish.com, goguscerrahisi2007.org, fatimaparroquiavirtual.org, tearaiestate.net

I submit you can find much better names through this website, here’s just a small sample that are available to register right now, and I won’t even charge you $70 for backordering :)

Gone Green

In a previous post I gave everyone a heads-up on the dropping green<city-name>.com names today. Well, how did you do? I just took only one: GreenPrague.com. Vibrant Networks is tasting a few and someone took GreenAthens.com early… nice catch there, another great tourist destination to go green!

Go Green

There are lots of Green<city-name>.com names deleting on this coming 15th. None of these are premium GEOs, but there are a few good tourist destinations that should drop and become available.

If you’re interested in these, post a comment here or use the contact form.

Snooze You Loose

That’s the risk you take when you publish a live list of names you’re monitoring — names you intend to either register immediately when they drop or you’re just curious who might register them and develop.

iCairo, com was on my drop list (to the right) and I though about it for an hour or so. I checked my parking stats and justĀ receivedĀ a $1 click on a GEO name, so I thought “OK” I’ll go get it… too late. :(

Geography Schools

I don’t know how much money is spent by college students going for geography degrees, but I image it’s quite a lot of money — and I bet a lot of money is spent by the schools advertising their programs. What better place to go for information than GeographySchools.com? I can think of no other… :)
