In The Tank?
If you subscribe to any of the GoDrops.com feeds you know the kinds of domains we watch: short .COM and .NET, numeric .COM, and catchy/meaningful two word .COM. Every category of domain has its ups and downs and some measure of liquidity. If you want high liquidity, go for the 3 character .COMs, 4 letter good pattern .COMs and .NETs, 3 letter gTLD, NNNN in .COM and .NET, and single words in a gTLD — no surprises there.
Two word .COMs are acquired because of their end-user potential, but reaching those buyers may require a lot more footwork on your part especially if you’re used to selling in forum marketplaces. If you’re committed to quality .two word .COMs, don’t think of it as playing the lottery, you’ll only get depressed — this is YOUR business, YOUR strategy and YOU can make it happen.
The economy may go partway down the toilet, but I’m seeing opportunities. I see better names dropping everyday, but any end-user domain sale takes work. Now Get Out There And Sell Your Domains!
Today I picked up a few names and here’s what I’m going to do with them:
- ME-Q.com, Short LL-L.com, Premium ‘ME’, Anti-premium ‘Q’. I’ll try a forum auction at NP if there’s interest — there’ s nothing more depressing than starting an auction and getting ZERO bidders
- 7i3.net, CCC.net, Premium ‘i’, a holder
- MiniCrush.com – Big crushes are embarassing if revealed, but small ones are cute and playful, what a perfect viral app this would make: “who has a crush on you”. Yes, probably been done before, but with this good of a domain name to go with it?
