Many of you won’t agree on this one, but I think yesterday’s Top Drop, was SensitiveEyes.com. There are SO many related services and products that THIS domain could feature: sunglasses, contacts, ocular disorders, car-window shades, on-and-on… It was caught by ”Software to Fit” @ GoDaddy NOT via backorder apparently. The only thing today that caught my eye going to Snapnames private auction was xmastravel.com. BuyDomains took RewardYou.com (I have NewRewards.com) and SuperGroom.com (I have GroomWanted.com). Pool grabbed some really good ones IMO: SecureBorder.com and TouchScreenTV.com.

I love poking around registrar & nameserver changes — that’s what this site is all about. As I’ve said before, it’s always good to monitor the kinds of names that people backorder; it’s a good exercise and can improve your instincts. I find it interesting when a domain IS backordered at Snapnames but only ONE user placed that backorder. In this situation, the nameserver change away from Snapnames usually happens during same day from interimnameserver.com to the user’s desired nameserver… Read the rest of this entry »
