Nearly 100 N-N-N.com Names Dropping Today

I’ve never seen this many N-N-N.com dropping in one day. It’ll be interesting to see who backorders them, who starts tasting them or who can get them for reg fee… Visit GoDrops.com from 11am-1pm PST during the drop for the Live Chat + Drop event and find out…

Wrightsville Beach is Mine

Yesterday I managed to catch the dot COM zip-code for Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Bow down to your new master Wrightsville Beach! (in my best Plankton voice)…

I haven’t developed ANY of my other zip-codes (typical), but this city is the most targeted I own: beach tourism.

Haven't Done This in a While

There was a large Taster drop today of NNNNN.com names around 5am PST. I just woke up and saw a lot of these were available… nothing special really, but there were around 7 1NNNN.com — with an initial “1″. These are best kind given random numbers without pattern. Read the rest of this entry »

Your Morning Zip

A few .NET US zip codes dropped recently so I thought I’d highlight them here and talk about zip code numeric domains in general. Here they are… Read the rest of this entry »

Do You Want a Premium LLLL.net or NNNNN.com?

… then you have to go to Snapnames :( They’ve been much more aggressive lately, catching nearly all of them during the drop. The good news is that NOT all of them get a bid during the public action (usually they’re listed at $9) and Snapnames will let them drop again on the fourth day — this is the second drop. NNNNN.com Update

Sorry to go on about the state of the “sold out” NNNNN.com names, but I’ve invested near $1,000 in them — all obtained after the buy-out using the GoDrops.com watcher (promise, a picture coming soon). I reported on Aug 19th that Snapnames had taken them all on the drop. Well, on the 20th Vibrant Networks took them all, but on the 21st, Snap came back and took every one. To to summarize:

  • 2008-08-18: Snapnames (public auction ending today)
  • 2008-08-19: Snapnames (public auction)
  • 2008-08-20: Vibrant Networks (will drop soon)
  • 2008-08-21: Snapnames (public auction)

The interesting part is how many get bids ($9 min) at Snapnames and, when Snapnames and Vibrant DO drop them, who picks them up! …  They are your potential buyers when you’re in a pinch.

Snapnames Back Catching NNNNN.com

There were 49 NNNNN.com names deleting today — no postal codes — and Snapnames caught 45 of them. eNom caught two, one was caught by GoDaddy backorder (57771.com) and the other by someone using ename.com.

Vibrant Networks had been catching and releasing these steadily for months with Snapnames staying out of the way. Now that they’re back (for today), you’ll either be bidding on these for $9 a piece a Snapnames or waiting for them to be deleted if there are no bidders. Earlier this year Snap was selling a good deal of these at $9 or more a piece. They had stopped catching them on the drop, but today they’re back — big time.

Checking in with NNNNN.com

There was a large NNNNN.com drop today. Vibrant Networks/iTimeMarketing didn’t catch ANY NNNNN.com today, and they’ve been the biggest catcher of this category of names for the past few months since the buy-out. Here’s the break down of today’s drops:

NNNNN.com (106)

  • eNom (71)
  • Oversee.net (29)
  • GoDaddy (5)
  • yumichong.com (1)

Names I Like #1

Here’s the first installment of a list of names that I’d think are good, and I’d *really* like to register them, but for whatever reason, I just don’t…

  • 07-2.com This category of name is SOLD OUT, but they are HOLDERS now, although you could instanly get a little more then reg free for this one now in the aftermarket.
  • EcoBurials.com “Eco” is hot and burials, well, someone is always needing that… This name seems a little more brandable than “green burials” which would be the generic. I can image a website selling cremation urns and offering a directory of green-burial providers…
