Scanner was Down, but now it's Up

The bad news is that the GoDrops.com whois scanner was down most of the weekend, but the good news is that there are quite a few good names coming up on the public list in the sidebar to the right…

Some of my favorites are: AutoTalkShow.com, PsychoDeals.com, and DealCutters.com.

Happy Hunting!

Taking Photos At Christmas

In the middle of summer? Picked up two great names today: GroovyPhotos.com and SmartChristmas.com. I’ve parked SmartChristmas.com for now (I know: nice play!), but I’ll be hosting GroovyPhotos.com on my WordPress MU site and looking for some good “social” themes and plugins… maybe I can get this one rolling into a social photo-sharing app.

Snooze You Loose

That’s the risk you take when you publish a live list of names you’re monitoring — names you intend to either register immediately when they drop or you’re just curious who might register them and develop.

iCairo, com was on my drop list (to the right) and I though about it for an hour or so. I checked my parking stats and just received a $1 click on a GEO name, so I thought “OK” I’ll go get it… too late. :(

Joy Bag

JoyBag.com, this one dropped a while ago, but I registered it today. It’s short, brandable and memorable… and meaningless. Well, not sure what to do with it. Nobody at DP seems to want it. Mmmm. Unknown future this one…

DungeonTalk.com

What a fantastic name for fantasy role-playing enthusiasts! This one dropped June 21st and has been lying around ever since. Perfect for setting up a forum or chat software. Or, where else would a DM give a weekly podcast from… why from DungeonTalk.com of course!

Oh, how I’d like to register this name! I’ve already got DungeonGames.com and DungeonGuide.com. Well, I’ll turn my head for a couple days…

I've Got Gas

Well, sort-of. I’ve registered G–A–S.com after a taster’s recent drop. L-L-L.com names are pretty hot now, averaging $30-40 aftermarket sales (they are all sold out). May not seem like much, but they are very liquid names right now and that can’t be said for a lot of names.

Will double hyphens do as well with three letter dictionary words? We’ll see!

Moving to Europe for Cheap Healthcare

Just kidding… but I did need a title for this montage of drop catches. How about a European capital + “guide”, LjubljanaGuide.com. Perhaps they’ve got Cheap-Healthcare.com and it looks pretty good, so I’ll tell all my friends and family using i-Moved.com. Maybe I’m regging too many names with dashes, but they are meaningful and keyword worthy, no?

N-O-T-E.com

Registered another hyphenated domain today, n-o-t-e.com. Maybe I can turn this into a note-passing social application, or copy-n-paste utility…

Sydney Scuba Diving

I’ve put SyndeyScubaDiving, com up for sale on eBay starting at only $9.99. One watcher so far, we’ll see how this goes. This name was dropped, then auctioned at Snapnames, received no bids was dropped again, then tasted and dropped by eNom. Then I got it, whew! Well, that’s how the games goes…!

PracticalBlog.com

If you’re in any way a handy kind of person, what better name to communicate your advice on DIY projects, tips and tricks around the Internet, dating do’s and do not’s, etc… than on PracticalBlog.com. A site (maybe) that helps you answer questions about everyday life.
