Good Pickups Today

I’m really happy about the two names I caught today: GreatInternships.com and MobileSuccess.com. I’m pitching MobileSuccess.com as a site for advertisers looking to get into the mobile market or ad agencies looking for a brand. GreatInterships.com speaks for itself for possibly job boards, career advice, etc… :)

Through The Ringer

Here’s a look at what happens when one domain drops and the tasters have their way with it. The name is nothing special, but it’s not a bad name. Drooze.com, perfectly pronouncable, passes the radio-test, brandable, not particularly pleasant to say, but it is a short dot com and TM free…

What a crazy ride! :)

iAjax.com

What get’s 1,000,000 searches a month according to the new Google numbers and is the programming technique that virtually runs every Web 2.0 site out there: AJAX, or Asynchronous Javascript and XML.

Careful here, because “Ajax” is a tradmarked term, but used in the programming world, it’s ubiquitous with creating interactive and more user-friendly web applications, not cleaning your toilet.

Scanner was Down, but now it's Up

The bad news is that the GoDrops.com whois scanner was down most of the weekend, but the good news is that there are quite a few good names coming up on the public list in the sidebar to the right…

Some of my favorites are: AutoTalkShow.com, PsychoDeals.com, and DealCutters.com.

Happy Hunting!
