A Flip Report

What do I do with the names I drop-catch? Once that shiny new domain shows up in your control panel, there are two basic directions to take: flip it quick or develop it.

Developing a domain is just adding value to get a better price later on, so it’s also a flip. Now, if you plan on keeping the name forever or you consider it your “life project” domain, then do yourself and favor and count any other domains you’ve put in this category… If that number is more than ONE, you need to reevaluate your business model.

Only quick flip in a pinch. I’ve done three of these this month with new domains registered using GoDrops.com technology for a grand total of $250. Not a bad ROI! This was done over at NamePros.com… lot’s of strategies for quick-flipping there, so I’ll handle that (and development) in an upcoming post.

Why quick-flip only “in a pinch“? Because… the basic business model for domaining is finding END-USERS, not flipping on domainer forums. If this is all you do, you’ll go broke…
